With an impressive track record of 97 gold medals at CSSRA Championships, 25 Stotesbury Cup Regatta wins and five Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup victories, Ridley offers top-notch training and coaching in rowing.

Sports Ridley Day Camps


SPORTS RIDLEY BOARDING CAMPS

Come and immerse yourself in the dynamic athletic culture of Ridley College this summer during our Sports Ridley boarding camps. If your son or daughter has a passion for sport and is looking to build their independence at a sleep-away camp, Sports Ridley, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Niagara Region, is the perfect place for them this summer. With Ridley’s high-performance coaching teams, our world-class facilities, and the best-in-class boarding professionals in the country, Sports Ridley is an aspiring athlete’s dream. 

Boarding offerings include four or five nights of accommodation in our historic double-occupancy campus residences, three buffet meals each day in our Great Hall dining room with additional snacks scheduled as a part of your programming, and your choice of sport programme, developed by our high-performance coaches. 

Whether your goal is to try a new sport (like rowing or squash), work on skill development in a sport you’re passionate about, or just meet new people from across the country and around the world while playing the games you love, Sports Ridley boarding camps are sure to be a memorable part of your 2024 summer!  

Details: 

  • Athletes move in on Sunday night and depart on Friday at the end of programming at 4:00p.m. 
  • Boarding experience includes your bed, wardrobe and desk in a double occupancy room. 
  • Food is included: three buffet meals each day with snacks by programme, and organized evening activities on campus and in the region as planned by our boarding team.  
  • An additional night is available for Saturday departure. 

Boys and Girls (Ages 12-16) 

Recreational and Competitive 

$2180.00 CAD plus HST for 12-night stay  

$1950.00 CAD plus HST for 10-night stay (Camper goes home on the weekend in between camp weeks) 

Ridley’s Introduction to Rowing programme will introduce young athletes to the sport of rowing through daily on and off-water sessions held at Henley Island. These sessions are best suited for those with no previous rowing experience. When not on the water, students will be engaged in our Aspiring All-Around Athlete programming, which includes options in Squash/Racquets, Skating, Hockey, Basketball and Fitness.  

Athletes move in on Sunday, July 14th and depart Friday, July 26th at the end of programming at 4:00p.m. 

  • Campers can choose to stay over the July 20-21 weekend and enjoy our weekend boarding programme or;
  • Campers can choose to go home for that weekend Friday afternoon and return the evening of Sunday, July 21, to start week two of programming. 

Boys and Girls (Ages 12-16) 

Recreational and Competitive

Ridley’s Junior Development Rowing programme will further develop the skills of novice rowers through daily on and off-water sessions on our home course, site of the 2024 World Rowing Championships – Henley Island. These sessions are best suited for those who have completed a Learn to Row or Ridley’s Introduction to Rowing programme. Off-water sessions include training in our indoor Rowing Tank, our Ergometer Center, and our state-of-the-art Court Family Fitness Centre’s high-performance training spaces on Ridley’s spacious 96-acre campus. 

Athletes move in on Sunday, July 14th and depart Friday, July 26th at the end of programming at 4:00p.m.
