Consumed in Service

Positive psychology research links service to human flourishing, meaning those who contribute to the lives of others feel a deeper sense of fulfillment and meaning in life.

Ridley College supports and creates opportunities both on and off the campus for students to be engaged in service from JK to Grade 12. The International Baccalaureate’s framework includes Creativity, Action, and Service (CAS) expectations for all students, complementing Ridley’s motto:

Terar Dum Prosim: May I be Consumed in Service.

Every grade level in Lower School and every House in Upper School is attached to a local charity, supporting them through action and fundraising throughout the school year. Our Saturday programming includes weekly service opportunities, on and off campus. In addition, global and national service trips are planned for students to be able to experience the giving and learning of service travel. Global service trips have included the Doppenbergs in Guatemala (DIG) and the Jacaranda School for Orphans in Malawi.
