Cooper Brook — Alpharetta, Georgia

Ridley is proud to welcome Cooper Brook from Alpharetta, Georgia, as the latest recipient of the Anderson Scholarship for U.S. students. A passionate student-athlete with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a heart for giving back, Cooper brings a unique blend of drive, curiosity and compassion to our community.

When Cooper first visited Ridley’s campus, he was struck by the warmth of the community and the abundance of resources available to students. “Coming from a public school, it was refreshing to see a place with such incredible facilities,” he says. “The people really surprised me with how kind and accepting they were.”

Cooper’s academic interests lie in social studies and math, but his passions extend far beyond the classroom. A dedicated basketball player, he’s excited to join Ridley’s renowned basketball development programme and immerse himself in a community of like-minded athletes. “Basketball has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember,” he says. “Being surrounded by people who take it seriously and love the game will be amazing.”

Outside of academics and athletics, Cooper is an entrepreneur with a purpose. At just ten years old, after accidentally breaking his computer, he launched a lemonade stand at his local farmer’s market to raise money for a replacement. That small venture grew into a business that has been operating for five years and has since donated over US$10,000 to charity — an achievement that speaks volumes about his initiative and generosity.

As he prepares to begin this exciting new chapter, Cooper is most looking forward to boarding life, building new friendships and pushing himself both academically and athletically. “It’s like going to college four years early,” he says with a smile. “I’m ready for the challenge.”

We’re thrilled to have Cooper join the Ridley family and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make in the years ahead.
