Intermediate Camps (Ages 7 to 10)

Our Intermediate Camps are designed for curious campers to explore their independence and begin to learn responsibility.

Our caring staff leads campers through both self-guided and group activities and a play-based curriculum. Our intermediate campers begin to build critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills in a safe and inclusive camp space. All camps occur on campus in Ridley’s world-class facilities and include outdoor time. They are the perfect place to make new friends!


Intermediate Camp Offerings

Campers will learn the basic skills of both sports, including batting, bowling (or pitching), fielding, and base running, through engaging drills and mini-games.  The camp is designed to provide a positive, supportive environment where campers can develop their athletic abilities, whether they’re new to the sports or looking to refine their skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and good sportsmanship. By the end of the week, campers will have a greater appreciation for both cricket and baseball, along with a strong foundation to enjoy playing these iconic sports.

Campers will explore a variety of dance styles, including hip-hop, jazz, ballet and creative movement, while building confidence and coordination. Through fun choreography and games, participants will express themselves, learn new techniques and work together to create a final performance. This camp is perfect for young dancers of all levels who love music, movement, and creativity!

Campers will discover the basics of two fast-paced, non-contact sports. Campers will learn essential skills like passing, catching, running plays, and defensive strategies through fun drills and team challenges. The camp emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and safe play, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for all campers to build confidence, improve coordination, and develop a love for both sports.

Embark on a week of fun and discovery!  Each day brings exciting activities like nature walks, scavenger hunts, and hands-on crafts inspired by the great outdoors. Learn basic outdoor skills, such as setting up a simple shelter, identifying plants and animals, and exploring trails safely. Enjoy teamwork and problem-solving through fun challenges like building miniature forts or navigating obstacle courses. With plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and connect with nature, this camp is perfect for young adventurers. Get ready to discover the wonders of the wild in a safe, fun, and engaging way!

This camp is designed for curious campers who love to discover new things. Campers will dive into a range of science themes, from the wonders of nature to exciting experiments, sparking their imaginations and encouraging them to think like young scientists. Through interactive activities and engaging projects, they will explore how the world works and develop critical thinking skills. With a focus on curiosity and exploration, this camp celebrates the joy of asking questions and uncovering fascinating answers. After all, as Carl Sagan once said, “Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known!”

We invite campers to step into the world of mystery and intrigue to learn how to think critically, work as a team, and solve problems! Campers will learn how to gather clues, analyze evidence and solve thrilling mysteries. Just like the legendary Sherlock Holmes, campers will solve cases, from finding missing objects to cracking secret codes and deciphering hidden messages. This promises to be a week of fun and mystery for everyone!

This non-competitive, fun-focused camp is designed for campers looking to learn or practice hockey fundamentals in a safe, supportive environment. Participants will learn key skills like stickhandling, passing, shooting and teamwork through engaging drills and games. The camp focuses on building confidence, coordination, and sportsmanship, making it perfect for beginners and those looking to improve their skills.

Join Hank and Dunkin's excellent basketball adventure!  Hank and his best buddy love basketball and are inviting you to join them for a week of jump shots, fast breaks, and high fives! This camp will focus on working as a team, skills and drills, movement, and daily scrimmages. This camp offer curriculum designed by the Niagara River Lions and special sessions run by River Lions coaches and players. Included in the camp fee is one voucher to a Niagara River Lions regular season game and membership to the River Lions kids club.

In our Multi P.L.A.Y. (Physical Literacy Activity for Youth) programme, prepare for a fun-filled week engaging in a variety of sports, group games and exciting activity opportunities appropriate to each age group. In Multi P.L.A.Y., we will focus on movement competence, movement skills and the motivation to stay active. Participants will value the ability and gain confidence to transition to different activities and recreation sports, inclusive of play tools and play assessments. Our campers will take part in a variety of sports and more! In addition, campers participate in daily ice-skating sessions, Tuesday through Friday.

*Registrants are required to bring their own ice skates and helmets to participate in group skating. Be prepared to get physical!

At this dynamic and engaging camp, campers will immerse themselves in the world of musical theatre, building essential skills in dance, vocals and performance. Working together in a variety of activities, campers will strengthen their collaborative and improvisational abilities and build confidence in their creative expression. Working together as an ensemble, they will discover the power of teamwork while exploring the magic of musical theatre!

Lights, Camera, Action! Our Junior Performing Arts camp is designed for campers to develop self-confidence, creativity, and communication skills. This camp combines instruction in dance and movement, acting skills and vocal performance. Campers will participate in a range of fun theatre games and other developmental activities leading up to an end-of-the-week showcase performance that features the newly acquired skills. This performance will be recorded and sent to all parents.

Get ready for a week of fun and excitement where campers will explore the games of squash, tennis and pickleball! This camp is perfect for young players who want to learn the basics of each sport while having a great time. Through simple drills, games, and friendly challenges, you’ll improve your coordination, balance, and racquet skills. Each day, you’ll get to try a different sport, learning how to serve, hit, and move with ease. You’ll also develop teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence as you play and have fun with new friends. Campers will build and program their own robots using colourful LEGO bricks, motors, and sensors, bringing their creations to life through fun, hands-on challenges. They’ll learn coding basics, problem-solving, and teamwork as they complete tasks and compete in friendly robot games. Get ready for an exciting global adventure! Hank the Tiger has gone missing, and it’s up to you to track him down by solving clues and cracking codes from countries around the world. Each day, explore new cultures, landmarks and traditions as you gather clues to Hank’s location. Enjoy hands-on activities like creating passports, decoding secret messages and building models of famous landmarks. Learn fascinating facts about continents, oceans, and geography while working as a team to bring Hank home. It’s a week of adventure, problem-solving, and discovery that makes the world your playground!
